Dabble, Dabble, Dabble!

Lately… Since rediscovering myself… going back to my natural hair… and just being me, I decided it was high time for a new photo shoot. Also, I have been attempting to get back into modeling. Which, I do not know if I can do because I love food… BAD FOOD… and obviously beer. I have given up pizza though; which is very hard for me. On average I ate a slice a day and now have not had it in almost 3 weeks. GO ME!!

So, the ever so talented Zak Zavada of PruneJuice.net, whom I went to high school with, took some excellent photos up NayAug park located in Scranton, Pa.

He might get mad at me because we are not finished shooting. However, I started using what I had because they came out SOOOOO GOOD! I am very happy with them! We have a couple of more to take; some more at the park and then a couple at my local favorite cafe hot spot, Aroma Cafe.

Anywhoot! I have been kinda keeping myself busy! Working A LOT! However, not making much. Plus, since my family is gone away on vacation… We will be closed this up-coming weekend. Good and bad news. I do need the money desperately!!!

On a side note, Mike is coming in for hopefully all of July!! I can’t wait. I also had a gift certificate to Marc’s Tattooing and will be using that to get a Roman Numeral number two on my wrist area. Don’t worry people, it will be very small. I have already had two tattoo prior, so I am not scared, however that was 8 years ago or more!! “Why a Roman Numeral number Two?” you ask. I have wanted this for awhile. I am a gemini, and it is the symbol for gemini. Also, it looks like a Roman Pillar… which goes back to my love of Roman/Greek History. That will happen mid-july and do not worry. There will be pictures!

Quarter of a Century…

That is right folks! I, Lindsayanne Barrasse, (or LindsaY BoO if you will) is now a quarter of a century old. I can do stuff like RENT A CAR… orrrrrr say that I am twenty five. I also now have the privileged of using the term “back in the day”.

ANYWHOOT!

My so-to-speak b-day celebration started off with the 14th. Now, my birthday is the 17th of June, however the past couple of years have been hum-drum so I decided to take a few days this year and make it up to myself. The 14th I flew from the Scranton/Wilkesbarre airport to Detroit. From Detroit I then flew to Kansas City, MO. Now, “KANSAS?” you say. Yes. Kansas and surrounding areas…

It was my second trip out that way and all I have to say it is really nice out there. I go purely because of the “why not” factor, my obsession with Ruby Slippers, and some random guy lives out that way for right now, and I have taken a liking to him.

The first night Mr. Random Guy, otherwise known as Mike, and I went to the “hot spot” area of Kansas City, MO… I forget what it is called but it a giant pavilion type thingie with many bars and clubs around the center… Not really good with describing it… but they had a place to go bowling which is always good!

I love bowling. I am very bad.. but I love it. I actually in an attempt to use a 13lb weight ball, dropped it backwards. OOOPPPSSSS!!!! That was a fun night! During the rest of the trip we went to various places such as The Wizard of Oz Museum (which I enjoyed but kept my cool… didn’t want to seem like a huge dorkus arilias).

The 17th I headed back to Scranton, Pa.

Once again, I made a stop at the Detroit Airport. I really like that airport. I love the Multi-Color Lighted Musical Walk way.

It’s VERRRRRYYYY NICE! I got a 10 dollars 10 minute chair massage with scent oxygen. the Oxygen Scent was suppose to aide in anxiety and help one to relax. Boy! Did I ever. i slept the whole flight home… then when I got home. i almost slept through my birthday dinner!

For my birthday dinner, friend and i went to a place called Coopers. I wanted my “free” lobster. “FREE” someone had to buy a dinner… and my “LOBSTER” was 5 little lobsters the size of half my pinkie.

BUTTTTT it was fun and I even got a happy birthday lobster hat thanx to my friend Mark who knows people who know people. My friend Jason got me a unique bottle of wine from the finger lakes but wrap it in AWESOME happy birthday bubble bee transformers paper! My mother stop by and my family got yelled at for playing with the objects on the selves.

I also stabbed and killed my friend Derek…

and party with pirates!!

All and all it was a fantastic BIRTHDAY and a long blog.

Hiking… and stuff.

Today around 10am I left my apartment to start a little journey. A journey. YES. I enjoy woods and stuff and figure we have been having such lovely weather to do such a thing. So, off we headed for a fantastic day; by we I mean Danny King, The Tree, and myself.

Bald Mountain is located in Luzerne County, PA. The Primary Coordinates are: Latitude 41.2381 and Longitude -75.7452. Variant (nonofficial) names for Bald Mountain: Bowmans Mountain.

Not too far from Scranton, PA is this nice little spot. In the 1990’s there was a possible “UFO” siting on dear old Bald Mountain. ALEINS. Wowzers. It wasn’t a bad hike. I did get a little tired half way up the mountain because I am out of shape. However, a little rest and a bottle of water solved that right quick.

It was about 3 1/2 hour hike up and down the mountain. We even did some minor rock climbing which was fun…

All and all… it was B E A UUUUUUUTIFUL DAY as well as a good time!
