On October 19th my mother and father organized a wine tour though the bar/restaurant (work)… I took the oppertunity to go on one. It has been a thing i have always wanted to do!!
It was perfect because my “close man friend” Mike would be home on leave before his year tour in Iraq. (god bless and be safe) Friends Jason, Amie, and the Professional DJ (a.k.a. DJ Cadillac… a.k.a. John) along with my mother, father, grandmother, and some of Billy B’s best patrons all joined in for a tubular time. Yes, I said tubular. The word isn’t used enough…
The day started off bright an early and the bus was to leave promptly at 8, but we left around 9. Shortly after that we cracked open the first beers (many to follow) and watched The Great Outdoors on the little overhead t.v. thingies.
We started tasting as soon as we arrived!
After the first winery, we all hope on The Legacy with Captain Bill and took a tour of Senaca Lake and ate some breakfast. I mist say the mini blueberry muffins were pop in you mouth delicious!!!
We got back to land and found a distributor and purchase some more beer. We made our way to 3 or 4 wineries that day. To be honest, I don’t remember. 3 or 4 sounds right….
We ate dinner at the fine Cracker Barrel were I told the waitress it was Mike’s birthday. We also sent different tables drinks of coffee and water… ohhhhh and sugar packets.
I felt bad for the older people on the front of the bus… becauseeeeeeee the ride back was FUNNNN to say the least.
We belted out drunk tunes and cracked open the bottles of wines that we had purchased!
When we got back to the take off point we said our goodbyes… My dog got loose and I chased him for a little while. Mike left his wallet on the bus. Amie and John passed out shortly after dinner and I am assuming found a nice comfie bed after getting home. I stayed strong and up even though Mike passed out on me. Thank god I had his iPod! haha….
